Who We Are

Our Mission

The Stittsville Food Bank provides a helping hand to those in need in the Stittsville Ward 6 boundary in the City of Ottawa in the former Township of Goulbourn, which includes the communities of Stittsville and the surrounding rural areas. We distribute non-perishable and perishable food items as well as a limited list of personal toiletries. The Stittsville Food Bank is run entirely by unpaid volunteers and has been in operation since 1992.

The Stittsville Food Bank is run entirely by volunteers. We have about 100 volunteers who collect, organize and distribute the donated food and 10 to 12 members on the Board of Directors. The Board meets about once each month, with an Annual General Meeting in February. Members of the current Board:

The Stittsville Food Bank is fortunate to be able to give food to people that are ill or having a difficult time. We have kind donors that has allowed us to give healthy food to the people in need. The donors have been the reason the Stittsville Food Bank is alive and running.
